Pulled in after office was closed. Directed to leave money before parking (cash in envelope in box). They had the open sites listed. Went to a 50 amp site and after pulling in found only 108kw on our meter. Luckily we had not left money yet, we did leave. It was totally dirt campground with rusted power boxes. Not even worth it at 16 per night. The pull thru site was not long enough for us and car either.
"WE DID NOT STAY AT THIS PARK"
We camped here using Passport America. It was cash only and no receipt. We asked for a pull thru. We were directed to drive around the house and then to pull behind other rigs and "pull thru" the site we were shown. The laundry is standard house units (1 each) and you leave money in a box. The breaker boxes do not have breakers to shut off power to the receptions. The water is shared with a y and does not have back flow preventives. The sites are very narrow. The directions are poor and help is not given when you call, they just say "I do not know where you are". The hydro tubs are jetted tubs in the bath house. I would not stay again. There are many permanent residents here.
Do not listen to the office staff on how to enter. We were directed the wrong way, the clerk was more interested in talking with a friend then in us. The park was clean, laundry was busy and we even saw a rooster here. There are many long term people and some barking dogs.
We stayed under Passport America and checked in after hours. The man said we could stay two nights and we paid for 1. In the AM we decided to stay another night and were told NO only one night at that rate. They did let us stay for a few hours using our generator. DO NOT FOLLOW GPS directions, they lead to a dead end road and no turn around point. Water and power fine.
Off I-10, good for traveling. The sites are earthen and not all are full hookup They have music jams often. Would stay again. There are some long term folks here.
We stayed here using Passport America. We stayed in the lower area near the pond. The pulling in was a bit dicey but worked out. We loved the privacy and peace. It is way off the beaten path but worth it. They have a dump station.
We stayed at this park under Thousand Trails and loved it. Mary and Linda in office were a lot of help. There is a special area for those with pets and those without pets. The site has a pad for your rig, you have a patio, and an area for your vehicle. Loved it!
